It is located in the heart of the city. It has six exhibition halls on the themes, Fun Science, Fluidics, Popular Science, Ganga : The Story of Water, Birth of Life and the latest one for young children called Meri Anokhi Duniya . A sprawling science park spread in 4 acres of land is one of the major attractions of the centre. It has a large format film theatre, 3D science film show and several other attractions.

How to Reach: Lucknow is a historical city located at around 500 km east of Delhi . You can reach Lucknow from Delhi either by road, though it is not advisable, or by train or by air. A day luxury train “Shatabdi Express” also goes to Lucknow which takes six hours from Delhi.

KURUKSHETRA PANORAMA & SCIENCE

This is one of the latest centres added in the family of the National Science Centre, Delhi and is fast becoming one of the most popular centres of the country. One of the major attractions for the tourists of northern India , the centre houses a 400′ x 40′ ft large panorama mounted on a cylindrical structure. This is credited with being the largest digital painting of the country. The painting depicts ten major events of the epic Mahabharata supported with scientific information of contemporary nature. In addition to the panorama, the centre has an exhibition on Indian Scientific Heritage and another on Fun Science. There are number of outdoor exhibits spread in the park all around the centre.

How to Reach: Kurukshetra is a holy town associated with the famous war of Mahabharata. It is around 175 km north of Delhi . You can reach Kurukshetra from Delhi either by road or by train. A day luxury train “Shatabdi Express” also goes to Kurukshetra which takes three hours from Delhi . Road journey from Delhi is also quite comfortable.

PALAMPUR SCIENCE CENTRE

Palampur Science Centre is the first Science Centre in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This Centre is a satellite unit of National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture; Government of India working for dissemination of science to all strata of society. Palampur Science Centre, located about four kilometres away from Palampur town, is a non-formal educational institute where people can experience science and enjoy doing science in a playful manner. The main attractions of the centre are Fun Science Gallery, Untamed Earth Gallery, Exhibition on ‘Rise of Digital India’, Innovation Hub, Science Shows (Super Cold Show-Showing low temperature properties of matter, Fun with Soap Bubbles), Taramandal Show and a beautifully landscaped lush green science park where one can learn scientific principles while playing in outdoor setting.

How to Reach: Palampur is a scenic hill station situated in the Dhauladhar mountain ranges of the Himalayas. The distance between Delhi and Palampur is about 490 km. On reaching the Palampur city (by bus or train via Pathankot/ Una) you may take the bus for Baijnath and after the journey of 4km, Palampur Science Centre is situated on the right hand side of the road near Bharmat village bus stop.
